Meet Dr. Novick

Dr Novick is a physician who believes in caring for the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. As a kidney specialist and social worker, she understands that true healing goes beyond medications and lab results. Dr. Novick takes time to get to know her patients in the context of their lives, recognizing that health is shaped by environment, relationships, and lived experiences.

Her approach blends advanced medical care with compassion and holistic practices. She has training in integrative medicine and trauma-informed care, which allows her to support patients not only through their physical health challenges but also by addressing stress, emotional well-being, and overall balance. Whether through guiding lifestyle changes, connecting patients with community resources, or creating space for healing conversations, she strives to treat the person—not just the disease.

Dr. Novick is also a nationally recognized researcher whose work focuses on how factors like housing, food, and community affect health, particularly for people with kidney disease. She partners with communities to design solutions that reduce health disparities and improve care.

Dr. Novick earned bachelors and masters degrees in social work at New York University. She attended medical school at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. She completed internal medicine residency and nephrology fellowship at Johns Hopkins. She earned a masters degree in clinical epidemiology at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She completed an additional fellowship in Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology. She was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha and Delta Omega Alpha Honor Societies for her academic performance.

Above all, her passion is helping patients feel seen and supported on their healing journey.
